BandLab Technologies, is looking for a Sales Engineer with demonstrated success in online and retail sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with solid communication skills and experience supporting customers across channels around the world. Music Instructor 

Guitar, Drums, Ukulele, Bass or other Musical Instruments

Location: Swee Lee Star Vista / Swee Lee Katong
Reports to: Music Academy Director & Store Branch Manager

Provide quality music lessons on playing musical instruments to students (adults and children) in Swee Lee Music Academy studios. As a professional educator, you will be the face of Swee Lee Music Academy and shall work closely with the staff to provide professional and reliable service at all times.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  1. Planning and preparing lessons in relation to individual pupils’ needs and examination syllabuses (Trinity College of London Rock & Pop, Rockschool, etc).
  2. Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students.
  3. Assist in planning appropriate teaching materials and resources.
  4. Entering and preparing pupils for examinations.
  5. Motivating pupils and encouraging progress.
  6. Assessing pupils’ abilities, providing feedback and writing reports, and liaising with academy administrator, staff and parents, to ensure good progress of the students.
  7. Ensuring you have up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
  8. Arranging recitals and concerts for students’ families and friends
  9. Understand and be clear on the registration process for students, including explanation of school policies, collection of payment, and confirmation of bookings
  10. Daily tracking of your own music lesson schedule, bookings and student attendance so that you are able to follow up with the academy administrator to ensure that all class and student information are accurate and all payments are up-to-date.
  11. Forward all feedback and complaints to the Music Academy Director, Store Branch Manager and Academy Administrator to work together to resolve any issues and ensure that students and parents are satisfied with the service rendered.

Skills and Competencies

  2. Ability to motivate others and enthusiasm in sharing knowledge
  3. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to work as a team and with parents
  4. Patient, with an eye for details and able to prioritise workload
  5. Punctuality is a must.
  6. Ability to use Microsoft Office & Google Drive applications.
  7. Relevant music qualifications and grades, although not essential for becoming a private school music instructor, will be very helpful. Teaching experience will also be beneficial in your application.

Working Hours and Benefits
