Live & Local: Polyphia

Artists: Tim Henson and Scott LePage
Location: The Substation
Date: May 27th

The Swee Lee Music Academy recently brought two of the world’s most exciting young guitarists to Singapore: Tim and Scott from Polyphia.

In town as part of a regional Ibanez guitar clinic tour that took in 9 Asian cities, the Dallas natives showed a packed Substation exactly what’s made them so popular, demonstrating lightning fast fingerwork and an almost telepathic connection between the two guitarists. They also took the time to explain everything from their approach to composition, how to play the “flutter” (it’s all about the tremolo) to their love of Ibanez guitars—which they’ve played since they were kids!

After the show, Tim and Scott signed autographs and posed for pictures with their fans. And don’t worry—they’ve promised to bring the rest of the band (“The Clays”, as they call them) back to Singapore very soon! In the meantime, you can relive the event with the photos here.
